Business Manager

Literary Review is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Business Manager to oversee the magazine’s production and contribute to its expansion among new audiences. Now entering its forty-fifth year and with a global readership, Literary Review occupies a proud place at the heart of cultural life in the UK and beyond.

Working from our small offices in Soho on a part-time basis, you will manage subscription growth and print distribution, taking an active role in the magazine’s strategic development. You will have experience of print production and take satisfaction in the practical aspects of creating a high-quality literary publication while relishing opportunities to raise circulation figures in both new and traditional ways. You will also have a firm grasp of budget management and will take a global role in overseeing the magazine’s finances. At the same time, you will be eager to think creatively about ways of expanding Literary Review’s readership, both in print and online.

This is a role for someone with some practical publishing or magazine experience who is rigorously organised while also being able to think and act strategically, and who is excited about the possibilities of literary culture. We offer flexible working hours and a relaxed atmosphere in our offices on Lexington Street.
