700 Years of the Łódź Airport

It’s time for an adventure, said the king. I thought long and hard
and in the end I decided to marry the princess,
despite her being made of string, or maybe that’s exactly why.
Actually, you know, there are whole plays
performed entirely by strings. Strings perform in most plays
and for sure they’re in the last one.

Do you remember the poem, asked the princess,
where I wrap myself around the loo like a Skoda around a tree,
and then they cut me, top and bottom, leaving only a trunk?
It was one of those trees you can see from outer space.
