Return of the Mars Patrols

He set fire to his home and fled,
because sleeping with other people is a sick experiment.
It’s like when you fall off a boat –
sometimes you’re under water and you pray to God,
and sometimes you’re not and you marvel at the view,
but either way you’re drowning the whole time.
So, he set fire to it and fled.

It costs me dear, but I keep choosing
that others should choose for me.
Now I will live without understanding
among others who understand nothing –
but in a long habit with sleeves.
